mind the gulls

The gulls are everywhere, and they are, in fact, quite violent.

They seem to have a proclivity towards soft tissue (like eyes). If you're not careful, you could be the next in a long line of citizens who now sports an eye patch due to gull unpreparedness.

"But what can I do about it?"

Mind the Gulls is a public awareness initiative.

Gull safety begins at home. At home, in a nice chair, reading this very informative (and well-drawn) graphic novel titled A Message from the East Point Consortium for Ornithological Awareness, Volume 1.

This book, while incredibly enjoyable, is also full of valuable information regarding the safety of you and your loved ones.

"So what's the story?"

Beaches! Terror! Birds! Something for everyone!

It is a story about a small beach town that is being terrorized by a flock of blood-thirsty seagulls, and a group of volunteers trying to mitigate the crisis with the best tools for the job: posters and awareness!

"Who is behind this?"

Gull safety is everyone's responsibility.

But if we're talking about the comic book, that would be me. My name is Frank. I am a cartoonist/amateur ornithological awareness advocate.

I look like this.

I've been working on this graphic novel for sometime, but since something like this takes time (and I need those dopamine hits), I've beenserializing the story in chunks on Substack for free. You can subscribe there and see them as they are released. But don't worry, I'll also be posting the pages here as they are completed.

"What's the plan here?"

Ultimately, the book will be collected and released digitall in two complete volumes.

Once both volumes are out, I plan to collect both into a nicely designed printed book.

The best way to keep track on releases and progress would be to follow me on social media:

Read the Book (so far)

Here are a few pages to let you test and see if this is something you might be into. If this seems like your cup of tea, subscribe to my substack where I'll be posting new sections (for free) as I finish them.
